Two identical articles from the "Family Magazine" of October 1836 regarding the life of Simon Kenton, titled "The Last of the Indian Fighters" from the "Western Literary Journal". One begins on page 139, the other page 419. The articles give a brief biography of Simon Kenton, recounting Kenton's explorations in Kentucky, his stealing from and being captured by Native Americans; his role in George Rogers Clark's expedition against Vincennes and Kaskaskin; and his later life.
